Everyone heals differently, so always be patient. Take into consideration different factors such as overall health, stress levels, and your aftercare routine.
Important note during healing period, why it seems longer than it should (Especially for cartilage piercings). Your piercing may feel and look fine on the surface, but internally it may still be healing and remains fragile.
How to care for your new piercings:
Wash your hands before cleaning your new piercings. Try your best to limit touching your ears to only when you are cleaning.
Gently clean the front & back of your piercing with a cotton bud soaked in Piercing Care Solution after shower (2-3 times a day after shower, swimming or other sports activities). Avoid swimming 5-7 days after you got a new piercing.
Do not use anything other than the piercing care solution on your new piercing. Â Avoid exposure to sunscreen, perfume, cosmetics, lotions, etc.
Disinfect anything that goes in, on, or around your ears daily to decrease the risk of bacteria. This includes cellphone, headphone, pillowcase, etc.Â
Be extra careful, and don't to get your piercing tangled while drying your hair, changing clothes, or putting on a mask/hijab.Â
Exercise during healing is fine; listen to your body. We recommend avoiding contact sports that may potentially cause your piercing to get bumped around.
Avoid sleeping or putting any kind of pressure on the pierced side. Use a piercing/travel pillow and place your ear in the middle hole of the pillow when laying down on your side.)
What is normal during my healing process:
Don't freak out when you experience minor bleeding, swelling, itching, localised bruising. It's a normal sign of the healing process. Do not remove your earrings.
If you remove your piercing jewelry, it’s possible that your piercing may shrink or close in minutes! We recommend keeping your piercing jewelry in until it is fully healed. Continue applying Piercing Care Solution 3-4 times daily. The reactions will subside after a few days.
During your initial healing process, it is recommended to visit our studio and have our piercer to check on the healing status of your piercing (wether it is ready for a downsize)
Downsizing for cartilage piercing is needed for a better healing process. This is recommended 4-6 weeks after initial piercing to switch to a shorter earring post to reduce movement and decrease the risk of inflammation.
While your piercing may be ready for a downsize, it does not mean it has fully healed and you should not be switching over to hoops or heavier jewelry just yet!
I just got pierced, can I take off my earrings?
With new piercings (especially ones that hasn't fully healed) we do not recommend taking your earrings on & off. Keep them on at all times; during cleaning, any activities or even when you encounter a little trouble like small bumps or redness. The risk of your piercings closing is very high during these period of times & when they have closed then there is nothing we can do but to re-pierce them. We know you're excited to mix & match your earrings but try not to switch your earrings too early. Do not wear earrings that are not hypoallergenic and/or too heavy as they may irritate your new piercings & prolong their healing period.
It is also highly recommended to wear your earrings for a minimum of 1 year on your new piercings; to minimize the risk of your new piercings closing.

How do you know once your piercing is fully healed?
Once there are no signs of redness, swelling, and no soreness when you touch or pinch your piercing. It may be different depending on each individual but in general, your piercing area should continue to feel better with time and a consistent aftercare routine!
